If you’re looking for a way to showcase your business, in a space with plenty of potential customers, why not try the Hallam Pop-Up Shop?
Located directly across from the entrance of Sheffield Hallam University’s main Owen building, the level of footfall that graces Howard Street on a daily basis provides ample exposure for any business looking to increase its sales.
The shop is managed by students on the university’s Pop-Up Shop Management Team as part of a sandwich year programme.
This year, 23-year-old aerospace engineering student Tonu Wiwa is in charge, and says: “We would like to reach students, graduates and externals to show that the space is available at cheap prices, at a good location and good for exposure.”
For just £5 a day for students and £30 for external applicants, local entrepreneurs can showcase and sell their items, alongside hosting events and workshops.
Businesses new and old have found success in the Pop-Up Shop, with the opportunity available to students even after they graduate.
Alongside it’s physical space, the Hallam Pop-Up Shop also makes an appearance online in the form of Hallam Made, which allows students to handle their sales through a free and secure website offered by the university’s Enterprise team.
With additional equipment like tables, chairs, stands and clothes rails provided by the team, the Pop-Up Shop provides an amazing space for local businesses to showcase what they have to offer.
