We are undergrad and postgrad journalism students based in Cantor building at Sheffield Hallam University. We use industry-standard broadcast facilities and newsrooms to produce our news, features, TV, radio, and sports reports.
Our courses are BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism; BA (Hons) Sports Journalism; BA (Hons) Journalism, Public Relations with Media. Also MA Multimedia Journalism, MA Sports Journalism, and MA International Journalism.

MEET THE TEAM
MIKKIE SCHOFIELD
I’m a Multimedia Journalism student currently in my second year. I love writing and believe there is a story to be found wherever you look. Being creative is a huge part of my life and I mostly enjoy writing about the arts, especially music and painting. I am also a big sports fan who loves basketball and am looking forward to reporting on the NBA season this year.
EVE WHITE
I enjoy films, poetry and fashion (although those on my course might question the latter as I turn up to lectures in joggers every day). I love to wander from the beaten path when it comes to articles. I want to shock, intrigue and educate readers within the same piece of work- if it isn’t benefitting the audience, it’s pointless.
JOSH ZEALAND
I’m an aspiring journalist with a passion for most sports, especially football and Formula One and would like to be a writer or a broadcaster one day. I am also a big fan of music and love going to live music events within Sheffield and the surrounding cities. I took on the role of sports editor for this great student website ‘The Loop’ as I see it as a brilliant opportunity to extend my skillset and experience in the field that I want to go into one day.

One of my main motivations for joining the Loop was because of the previous amazing work I had seen on the site before. To be able to work with fellow students as well as support others in getting their work onto the site was a huge factor in me wanting to join the team. I can’t wait to get going and seeing what we can do together.
